Elbows Up Cafe & Creamery had their opening day today, lucky to serve the town of Breslau for the first time. Everyone who came in shared the same excitement to the vision of giving back, providing for dog rescue and providing a safe, and welcoming space to work and relax.

We did have a hiccup with coffee delivery (it didn’t come), but thanks to the Roux Bakehouse, we had something to serve. Although the coffee machine we have for drip decided that it wasn’t ready for today either.

We own our mistakes as much as we celebrate our successes, and today we learned more about ourselves and our little shoppe.

Our new Expresso machine is sitting in a loading dock in Brampton. It will arrive Tuesday, then it is the scheduling of the electrician to power it and the plumber to give it water, before it takes a day to commission.

We expect full time coffee availability by Thursday.
